We had a chat
Once we’d digested the fact of my losing my job, we had a discussion about where we are financially and what we can and can’t do.
We’re better off than most, I know. No debts apart from a few years of mortgage to go. Mrs S is great with finance, having worked in a bank and currently studying to become an accountant.
However, we do have two children, one at home and another at uni. And a trip to Australia booked. So we will need money. Options.
1. Get another job (ideal if tricky)
2. Start a business (doing what?)
3. Retire (can’t afford to)
4. Find work from home stuff (such as?)
Staying positive is key. Mel will be spirit animal for now.
